DL100-785-FC - Tunable Diode Laser for Raman Spectroscopy (45mW)

Due to its selectivity, Raman spectroscopy offers a large set of applications for qualitative and quantitative analysis. The increasing availability of modular optical spectrometers with matching Raman probes provides an unknown flexibility for the development of new applications for Raman spectroscopy.

The DL100-785-FC is an excellent Raman source for 785nm excitation. It features a high wavelength stability due to the external cavity. The external cavity is formed by the end of the laser diode and the surface of the spectral selective grating. The typical power at the fiberoptic output is about 45mW. The fiberoptic output can be coupled directly to any Raman probe via the FC-PC or FC-APC fiberoptic connector.

The core of the system is the laser unit located in the small box on the left of the picture. The laser unit accommodates the whole optical bench with the mounted laser diode, an active temperature control to increase the thermal stability of the diode laser resonator and a piezo actuator for precise tuning of the wavelength by tilting the grating. The laser diode itself can be changed easily by replacing the laser diode holder without dismantling the set-up. The control and supply units on the right side of the picture are designed as modular plug-ins. This way, they can be optimized for the respective application.

The DL100-785-FC is prerequisite to couple with any Raman spectrometer, e. g. the CDI Raman 785 nm.
