F-SM12 - Fiber Optic Switch Multimode 1 x 2

Request for information

The F-SM12 is a fiber optic switch, wich is an interesting tool in spectroscopic applications. The unit uses the piezoelectrical effect to move the end surface of a single quartz fiber between the endphase of the 2 output fibers. Its reproducibility is sufficient for a lot of applications!

The compact design makes it easy to integrate the unit in different configurations from laboraratory setups to complete systems. The switch can be controlled by most of the spectrometer software packages. The switch can be used to select one of two measurement channels for a spectrometer. It can also provide a reference signal for the light source in absorbance or reflectance setups.

The switch comes with a customer-friendly easy to handle sotware. A little window appears on your screen after have been installed the switching software. This feature allows to control the F-SM12 with a mouse click. After have been selected the needed channel to detect the measuring signal the software goes automatically to the choosed channel of the switch. The F-SM12 is connected to the COM-port of your PC. No further programms are needed to control the switch.

There are other specifications available. Ask for versions with more channels and other fiber types!
